Honest Moment #1
I suspect that this section of the blog is going to be a humbling one. It will be where I share my failures, missteps, and my victories. I never want my children or my audience to feel that this just came to me with out work.
Often times we don’t see the edits in the footage.
My husband and I watch a lot of car videos. People rebuilding engines, transmissions and the dreaded rear end. Yuck!
I can usually smell it from the t.v. We always finish the video thinking… how do they make it look so easy?
I usually laugh and make a joke about how it may help if we had a lift. The truth of that is we dont get to see the out takes, the thousands of edits they had to make to the video to make it look seemless.
That is not real life.
The busted nuckles, the near misses… you know when you almost die from a heavy wrench almost falling on your face. That’s real! The amount of oil and sweat you spill. The time you get to spend with your loved one.
So, we may not get to build a car together but, we will build memories.
P.S. Just because it look easy on that one video platform doesn’t mean it is. BUT, that does not mean you can’t do it. Just be ready for the actual work that comes with the success.
